The Hampshire Hospitals NET service ( Basingstoke and Winchester Hospitals) is linked to Kings College Hospital Centre of Excellence .
It has an MDM every fortnight with representation from Gastroenterology ( JKR), Surgery ( MS F Welsh) , Oncology ( Dr S Paisey) Radiology ( Dr S Smith, Dr N Shah and Interventional Radiology ( Dr V Helyar), Nurse Specialist, (Barbara King) Dietician (Claire Gill), and MDM co-ordinator Dee Jackman.
A full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services are available, some in conjunction with Kings College Hospital.
Clinical Research is undertaken as part of the service, with current trials running including ASPEN, and retrospective analysis of effect of Lutathera in pNET. Own research programmes include work on Patient reported outcome measures.
Basingstoke is the site of the peritoneal surgery institute which is a national referral centre for peritoneal surgery in some types of Neuroendocrine tumours.
