It has been a busy time in the UKINETS Education Sub-committee, and we are delighted to share that we delivered the NETS for Newcomers: An Introduction to NET Medicine course virtually on the 12th May 2022. This course comes with a pre-course pack and pre-course questions and is designed to take you through the fundamentals of neuroendocrine tumour management, culminating in a mock multidisciplinary meeting. All speakers and chairs are experts in the field and passionate about their specialty. We have received excellent feedback with 9/10 likely to recommend it to a colleague. All sessions scored highly. The mock MDT, although challenging on a virtual platform was extremely well received with many delegates requesting more cases! Watch this space as we are planning a return to face to face for the 2023 course and looking forward to seeing everyone again. Date and location to be announced.
We are also planning to deliver the first of a series of UKINETS webinars. The first one will be on Nutrition in NET. We hope you will be able to join remotely for this 1-hour evening event planned for the New Year. This will be a multidisciplinary review of all the important aspects of management of nutrition with some specific clinical scenarios.
We are also looking for 2 further members to join the committee so do look out for the specification to join the teams and help shape and deliver on these exciting projects.
