We are very excited to announce the first ever data briefing from PHE to chart incidence of NETs in England. This paper has been put together as a result of work instigated by the NET Patient Foundation to draw up a list of codes relating to NET cancers. These codes have been used to look for NET patients in the National Cancer Registry – the first time we’ve been able to do this.
The results show the incidence of well differentiated NETs to be twice that suspected at 8 per 100,000 per annum, a total of more than 4,000 being diagnosed in England alone in one year.
